About

A fringe group of talentless runners, and proud of it.

“Untalented runners. Some of us train, most of us don’t. We all drink and party.”

Since 2013, Jolie Foulée has had one clear mission: to drag running down. Self-proclaimed untalented runners, and we say it with clear eyes and plenty of self-mockery. That doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate performance; it means we’ve accepted our status as low-level athletes.

We have a soft spot for old-school running: village races, their authenticity, their down-to-earth, sometimes kitsch charm.

Jolie Foulée is first and foremost a bunch of mates brought together by running, whatever their level or natural gifts. We meet up at training, on race weekends or on any excuse to do a bit of sport and a lot of partying.

It’s a way-too-colourful, festive world, where humour and self-mockery are mostly a way of telling it like it is.

After races, we love winding each other up, sharing our experiences with you on our socials or right here, and sometimes throwing a huge party. Our Paris Marathon after-parties have become legendary: the last one was only stopped by a power cut.

On the site, you’ll find these sections:

> PC course: race reports and no-nonsense report cards

> News: running news, our way

> Tests: tests

> Interviews: people we like trying to give smart answers to our dumb questions

> Spé JF: our in-house formats

Behind all this are around twenty contributors: the ones among us who can write three sentences without a spelling mistake. They write because they want to, not because an editor-in-chief makes them.

For partnerships, content creation, taking part in or organising events, our double life takes over. By day, some of us swap the floaty shorts for an inbox full of emails signed off “Sportingly”, under the name Pas Mal! Contact: perf@pasmalsolutions.com.
